Hachimura helped his team come back from a six-point deficit in the final minutes of the match (77-83). Japan closed the game on a 9-0 run and earned the victory.
Aside from Hachimura, Yuta Watanabe had 20 points for the winners. On the other hand, Dennis Schroder posted a team-high 16 points for the losing squad.
