Serbia edged Italy in Basketball World Cup preparation game

Serbia endured the comeback of Italy and earned the 71-65 victory in a Basketball World Cup preparation game in Shenyang.

The Serbians were in control from the opening tip (27-17) and led by as many as 16 points (50-34).

Yet, the Italians turned things around and went on a 14-31 run to take the lead, with less than three minutes to go (64-65). Serbia, though, closed the game on a 7-0 run of their own and claimed the win.

Bogdan Bogdanovic and Stefan Jovic were the best players of the winners, with 15 and 11 points, respectively.

On the other hand, Marco Belinelli (18 points), Daniel Hackett (15 points) and Danilo Gallinari (11 points) stood out for the losing squad.
