Nicolas Brussino led the winners with 21 points, while Luis Scola and Nicolas Laprovittola added 20 and 17 points, respectively.
Japan remained competitive until the middle of the fourth quarter (23-30, 53-56, 77-80, 85-90), yet Argentina closed the game on an 8-18 run and cruised to the win.
