The forward of Serbia, Nemanja Bjelica, talked about the national team’s goals in the 2019 Basketball World Cup.
Here is what Bjelica told reporters, per Mondo:
“I have heard that if we win every game, we will play against the Americans for the gold, but what if they lose somewhere? The ball should be lowered and the team must be trusted.
I was asked if coach Djordjevic would be able to fit so many stars on the same roster, but I don’t feel like a star and nobody does here.
We have Jokic, who is the best center in the NBA, he is a superstar, but when he’s here, then it’s a group of guys. Each of us will find a role and step up for the team. The most important thing is to bring back great results.”
