The analyst Kendrick Perkins thinks that Jeremy Lin’s free agency situation illustrates “a harsh reality of the NBA” when teams move on from players:
“Jeremy Lin’s situation is a harsh reality of the NBA. Very few have the opportunity to dictate when the league moves on from them. So for the ones that have the privilege to have one of those 450 spots, cherish it,” Perkins said.
