ImageIgor Rakocevic, best scorer of both the Euroleague and the ACB the past season, hosted a press conference in the Press Room of the Fernando Buesa Arena to say goodbye to the club.

About his participation in the upcoming Eurobasket in Poland he said " It is not certain, but it is more likely that I will not go to the Eurobasket. The preparation starts on the 10th of July and that would give me only twenty days of vacation. At my age that does not allow me to risk as I need more rest."

The Serbian guard also spoke about the reasons that led him to accept Efes Pilsen's proposal. " I needed a new challenge because I felt saturated here in Spain. Efes has an ambitious team and I am looking forward to reach the Top 16 and win the Turkish League. Even though I had offers from Tau, Siena and Olympiacos aswell, I chose Efes because I wanted to be closer to my family in Serbia. If I would stay in the ACB I would only play for Tau and I also dream of ending my career here."

Rakocevic also thanked and praised the organization of the club in all levels as fantastic and one of the best in Europe.
