Lebron James Unsure On 2012

Miami Heat superstar, LeBron James is undecided whether he will suit up for the United States of America in London next year – admitting that he has a ‘tough decision’ to make.

James, who recently became only the second player in NBA history to record a All-Star Game triple-double, orginally declared himself available for the US Olympic team, but has chosen to stay loyal to his Miami Heat team-mates, and James’ decision to play in London almost rests on the decisions of fellow Heat superstars, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade.

“These two (Wade and Bosh) don’t know if they’re going yet and if they don’t go then it’s definitely a tougher decision for myself,” James told national sports agency Sportsbeat.

“I’ve got to roll with my guys, so we’ll see what happens.”

James went on to say: “I’ve been to London before and it’s a great city. Basketball is continuing to spread. Even though we know it’s a huge soccer town, the game of basketball is getting bigger every day.”

News of James’ potential absence could hit London 2012 organisers hard, as they are hoping for basketball to be one of the big attractions at the Olympics. And as far as basketball is concerned, there is no bigger attraction than LeBron James.

James had previously stated he would be available, if called on by US coach Mike Krzyzewski.

“Hopefully I’m healthy enough to be a part of that team. Coach K has my number,” he said, last year.

The last time James represented the United States was at the 2008 Beijing Games, where he won the gold medal – he skipped playing for the US in Turkey at the FIBA World Championships – an event which saw the US win overall, which gave them a birth at the 2012 Games.
