Olympics prices announced

London OlympicsAfter much wait and hype, the men’s basketball final will be the highlight of the closing day of the 2012 Olympic Games, as two teams will face-off in the gold medal game at the 02 Arena on August 12th.

The women’s final will be held the night before (August 11th), again, at the 02.

The basketball tournament will begin on July 28th at the newly built Olympic Basketball Arena with the women’s pool games. The men will begin their quest for gold 24 hours later on the 29th. Hosts Great Britain will find out if they qualify for the event on March 13th.

The long-awaited news for tickets has arrived as well – and a seat at the basketball final will cost £495 (€588) with the cheapest seat costing £95 (€112). The women’s final is slightly cheaper, with the cheapest seat being £50 (€59) with maximum cost of a match ticket being £325 (€386).

The pool games however will only cost £20 (€23). Both the men’s and women’s group games will be played at the temporary Olympic Basketball Arena.
