Great Britain bounced back from defeat at home to Slovakia on Saturday afternoon, with a away win in Germany, 72-63.

Julie Page led the British scoring with 20 points personal whilst Linda Frohlich led all scorers with 25 for the Germans.

Great Britain got off to a fast start, as Johannah Leedham and Julie Page made early buckets, as the visitors raced to a 21-10 lead, off a Azania Stewart lay-up. Germany’s S. Barnert scored towards the end of the first, but the visitors from Britain were up at the end of one (23-13).

The Home side though, got themselves back gradually into the contest (28-33), but Great Britain kept their composure – and the lead, as a Chantelle Hardy three-pointer, extended their lead going into half-time (38-31).

The Germans started losing their grip on the contest in the third period – as the Brits, off a Julie Page lay-up made it 49-43. Britain, who lost over the weekend to the Slovak Republic looked comfortable going into the final stanza. Up 52-44.

Germany by then, looked a tired team, as Great Britain picked holes in their defence, as a Page and-one made the game comfortable at 61-48. Germany looked a beaten team, as the victorious Brits cruised to a win away from home.
