FC Bayern Munich has added size and talent to its perimeters with the signing of versatile defender Josh Huestis for the coming Turkish Airlines EuroLeague season.

Huestis (2.01 meters, 27 years old) played last season for Austin of the NBA G League. For four seasons until then he had gone between NBA team Oklahoma City and its G League affiliate. In the 2017-18 season, he spent most of his time on the NBA team, appearing in 69 games for Oklahoma City, with averages of 2.3 points and 2.3 rebounds over 14.2 minutes. Prior to his pro career, Huestis played four seasons for Stanford University.

“I’m really excited to be able to have this new experience in a new country and come to Munich,” Huestis said in the club’s announcement. “I knows that Bayern is one of the most successful clubs ever. It has always been my ambition to play at the highest level and win championships. The EuroLeague is an incredible competition that is about competing every night and has many good NBA players, like Derrick Williams last year. My strength is playing defense and I tend to be the guy who wants to work hardest for the team. I want to deliver in this way and make my contribution.”
