According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the San Antonio Spurs have signed Tim Duncan to be their assistant coach under Gregg Popovich.
“It is only fitting, after I served loyally for 19 years as Tim Duncan’s assistant, that he returns the favor,” Popovich said.
Duncan played 19 seasons for the Spurs before retiring in 2016.
