Israel defeated Spain in the Final of the 2019 U20 EuroBasket (92-84) and claimed the title for the second straight time (2018).

After a balanced first half (42-42), the hosts played excellent offensively (50 points) and cruised to the victory. Israel became just the second team in the history of the competition (Serbia – 2007, 2008) to successfully defend its title.

Deni Avdija led the winners with a game-high 23 points, along with seven assists, five rebounds, four blocks and one steal. On the other hand, Spain got 14 points from Miguel Gonzalez.

Avdija was also named the MVP of the 2019 U20 EuroBasket, averaging 18.4 points, 8.3 boards, 5.3 assists, 2.4 blocks and 2.1 steals.
