Milos Teodosic joined Virtus Bologna a few days ago and stated his target is to bring the team back to the EuroLeague.

Here is what the Serbian guard told reporters during his official presentation:

On leading Virtus back to the EuroLeague: “The Euroleague is another of the reasons I am here. I believe that this club must be part of this competition.

We must get there as soon as possible, starting from the EuroCup, by being the finalists. Virtus deserves it because of its tradition.”

On the warm welcome he received from the Italian team’s fans: “I did not expect such a warm welcome. I arrived in a big club, with an important story; but I’m here to push Virtus even higher.

It will be a great season, I want to win wearing this shirt. You will see, we will take away a lot of satisfaction. I am very calm, I left the injuries behind me. Now I’m fine, I’ve been training all summer and I’m ready to go with the national team in the FIBA World Cup.”

On the head coach of Virtus Bologna and the national team of Serbia, Sasha Djordjevic: “The first time I spoke to him about Virtus was last February; It took a couple of hours, I didn’t need to be convinced to play here in Bologna.

The first Final Four I watched in my life was with Virtus playing and having in the roster great champions like Nesterovic, Danilovic, and Ginobili. I want to restore this team to its past glory.”
