According to ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith, the Charlotte Hornets offered point guard Kemba Walker about $61 million less than a projected super-max deal:

“He was offered a five-year deal. It wasn’t the super max he was qualified for. It was somewhere in the ball park of 160M+. Still about 20 million more than the Celtics could offer him. But Kemba Walker is going to be a Boston Celtic,” Smith said.

Last season, the 29-year-old averaged 25.6 points, 4.4 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game.
