According to Eurohoops.net, Walter Tavares is close to signing a new, five-year deal with Real Madrid.
Tavares’ current contract expires in 2020 and the “Whites” want to extend it for another five years. If the deal becomes official, Tavares will become the highest-paid big man in Europe.
The 27-year-old center averaged 7.4 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.7 blocks in the EuroLeague.
