The Italian journey of Guilherme Giovannoni with started in 2004 will end this year as the Brazilian international will return to his country.
Universo Brasília signed the forward for next season as confirmed by himself yesterday during the Americas Championship. The 29-year-old described this step as a new challenge, hoping to contribute for the success of NBB in just its second edition.
Giovannoni started his career in Pinheiros and crossed the Atlantic to play in Spain (Fuenlabrada, Gijón), Ukraine (Kyiv) and Italy (Biella, Benetton Treviso, Virtus Bologna).
Last season with the jersey of the Bologna team he averaged 8.7 points and 5.2 rebounds in the EuroChallenge.Universo Brasília is the reigning league runner-up and won the Americas League.
