One of the best Greek prospects, Kosta Koufos, who was born in Ohio, United States, admittedly rejected an offer from the Greek giants Olympiacos Piraeus. More specifically Koufos verified that he had an offer of 5 million euros for a three year contract offered to him in the summer by Olympiacos, who contacted his father. The reason behind the rejection was Koufos' dream of playing in the NBA.
Talking to 'Tahidromos', a Greek weekly magazine he also expressed his wish to play for the senior Greece National Team and even win a medal in the Olympics. He also didn't rule out a possibility of playing in Greece in the future.
