In an interview with Sportski Zurnal, the head coach of Serbia Sasha Djordjevic referred to the upcoming Basketball World Cup.

Here is what the Serbian coach said:

“It’s time to put the emotions aside and calmly analyze the situation. There is a very difficult and challenging tournament ahead of us.

Several National Teams seem improved starting off from Greece and Giannis Antetokounmpo, the most dominant player in the NBA.

I believe in our team and our players, but we must not approach the competition thinking we are guaranteed a spot in the Finals, that we are the favorites. We will have to play eight games in 15 days, which means all 12 players will need to be ready for difficult challenges.”

Serbia will face Italy, Angola and Philippines in the group stage.
