Milos Vujanic suffers fractured fibula

Milos Vujanic who was supposed to be joining Partizan Belgrade for Euroleague’s Top16 phase tomorrow got seriously injured during Panionios-AEK game today.

Vujanic started the game for Panionios and half way through the first quarter he got injured when he collided with an AEK player (Terrell Castle), leg on leg, and the most likely diagnosis is a fibula fracture.

The irony? Vujanic was brought to Panionios after their American player Keith McLeod got injured and the team had very poor results. When McLeod was fit to play again Panionios agreed to let Vujanic go, as long as he played some more games before he left.

The game against Aris away on Wednesday (which Panionios won with Vujanic being MVP) was agreed to be his last one, but due to a last moment new McLeod injury Vujanic was asked to play against AEK too…

The game is not yet over but it seems the injury was very serious as the game stopped for about 10 minutes while both teams’ medical teams were trying to relieve they player before he was carried out of the court on a stretch, crying.
