Thunder get an early Christmas Prezzie

After weeks of speculation, it has been confirmed that popular American guard, Sherrad Prezzie-Blue has penned a deal with Worthing Thunder for the remainder of the BBL season.

Prezzie-Blue returns to Worthing having played a major role in reaching the playoffs with Thunder last season.

The 5’11 American was one of the league most consistent point-guards last term, averaging 14 points-per-game, shooting 45% from three-point land and 85% from the free-throw line. The Connecticut native is understandably excited about returning to the seaside town.

“I am ecstatic about returning to the Worthing Thunder for another year of basketball.” Prezzie-Blue said.

“I love the town, the fans and the atmosphere down in Worthing. I look forward to helping the team build on what we accomplished last year and to compete in every game.”

Operations Director, Alan Sweetman-Hicks welcomes Prezzie-Blue back, knowing that he won‘t just be a hit on the court, he will be a hit off it as well.

“The advantage Sherrad had over any number of guards that have approached us is that he knows the town, the club and the league already so knows what is expected of him and he was also extremely popular with the children that he coached in the schools as part of our community programme last season. We look forward to his being part of the Thunder family again soon.” Sweetman-Hicks added.
