Real Madrid started off their 2010/11 ACB campaign with a tight away win over Estudiantes in the premier game of the Spanish League.
Messina started the game using four Spanish players: Rodriguez, Llull, Suarez (former Estudiantes player) and Reyes (Fischer was the C).
Carlos Suarez who moved to Real Madrid just days ago was the best player for the Madrilenos scoring 21 points and grabbing 5 rebounds in the arena where he had spent the last six seasons.
Felipe Reyes and Sergio Llull helped him out scoring 14 and 12 points respectively. Herman Gabriel was the best player for the “Students” scoring 16 points. The final score was 84-79 for Real Madrid.
