Khimki crushed UNICS Kazan at home (91-64) and took a 2-1 lead in the best-of-five series, coming one step away from the VTB League Finals.

The hosts made 18 three-pointers in the game (18/37) and set a new record in three-pointers made in the history of the VTB League playoffs.

Khimki led by 15 at halftime (43-28) and never looked back, as UNICS played very badly on both ends and could not turn things around.

Alexey Shved (26 points) and Janis Timma (15 points) combined for 41 points for the winners, whereas Errick McCollum had a team-high 15 points for the losing squad.

Game 4 will be played in Moscow on Wednesday (28/05). If Khimki win, they will qualify for the VTB League Finals.
