Speedy Clark Is Lions Point

Kris ClarkKris Clark has become Mike New’s second addition to his Milton Keynes Lions roster ahead of the 2010/11 season.

The 6’2″ American comes highly recommended having been 4th in the Nation in assists just two years ago.

Clark, 24, is a graduate of Utah State University where he was the starting point guard for two years. An explosive point guard with great quickness and acceleration whilst a solid shooter his strength is in ball-handling, ball distribution and defensive quickness.

Lions’ Head Coach Mike New commented, “Kris is just what we need and he is everything I have been looking for, a very capable young man who can deliver the ball where we want it when we want it whilst having the ability to score as and when required”.

At college at Utah State, Clark averaged 6 points and 6 assists per game whilst delivering the ball to high scorers on the college roster, Lions owner, Vince Macaulay welcomed Clark to Milton Keynes, “I am glad to have Kris here, this young man is so fundamentally sound and is a joy to watch on the court, he comes with a tough work ethic which will work well with this year’s team, he has played professionally after college averaging over 15 points a game in the IBL and has excellent court vision,”

Clark joins Stefan Gill on this year’s team which looks to be very different from last term. The Lions will name more players this week.

The Lion’s first game of the new season is due to be on Sunday 26th September (tip-off 5.00pm), but a search for a venue goes on. The club aim to put some emergency measures in place in the next two weeks.
