Arvydas Macijauskas turns to coaching

Only a couple of months passed since Arvydas Macijauskas announced his retirement from professional basketball but one of the best shooters in European basketball has already found a new job. Macas was offered an assistant coach role in Perlas Vilnius and is set to open a new chapter of his career.

Before accepting the offer from Perlas, Macijauskas has publicly said that he would like to take a coaching role after his retirement as a player.

Perlas is an unofficial reserve team of Lietuvos Rytas. The club is made of young players, the best of them usually get signed by Rytas. Perlas made LKL debut last year and reached the play-offs by finishing 8th among 13 teams.
