Sevenoaks breezed to a 9-0 start and managed to maintain a sizable cushion throughout the first quarter, leading 21-15.

Leicester however found their groove in the second and solid execution at the offensive end, mixed with patient defence at the other was rewarded with 2:59 remaining with a score from Brea Elmore gave Riders their first lead of the game.

The reigning league champion, Suns were rattled, unable to settle into any kind of rhythm. Carr finally got her first field goal with 21.4 seconds left in the second after her previous nine attempts missed its mark.

Riders enjoyed a double-digit advantage early in the second quarter but were pegged back by the re-energised Suns who went on a 13-0 burst to regain their lead heading into the fourth quarter.

Both teams went toe-to-toe for the majority of the fourth period, trading baskets but Carr ultimately had the final say, helped by MVP Monakana.
