Lavrio and Kolossos Rodes relegated in A2. 26th Basketleague gameweek

Holargos had a great start ( 5-11) in the start of the first quarter, but Diplaros, Dorsey and Kamberidis was there for Panionios ( 19-18 ). The score was so close and Panionios led by 2 points in the end  of the first quarter.  Panionios had an 7-0 in a row mainly with Kamarianos points ( 50-43), but Jankovic was decisive for Holargos. Panionios led by 1 point at halftime.( 51-50). Holargos was more concetrate than Panionios and the team who coached by Aris Lykogiannis regaines the lead ( 73-79). Although the youth players of Panionios made a great attempt in order to win the match and replace Berry and others who didn’t play for financial reasons. Fragkias, coach of Panionios had problems with blood pressure and he left in the middle of the match and Dorsey wasn’t in good form. Holargos won with 20 points ( 90-110), but many teams complain about this game  and prosecutor will investigate this match.

Holargos B.C. ( 8th place) : Points: Javontae Hawkins ( 24 points) , Rebound: Panagiotis Kalaitzakis  ( 8 rebounds) , Assist: Toarlyn Fitzpatrick ( 5 assists)

Holargos will play in playoffs of Basketleague. 

Olympiacos B.C. ( 6th place)*– Promitheas Patras ( 4th place)= 86-59

Quarters: 24-15, 50-30, 72-48, 86-59Venue: Peace and Friendship Stadium ( SEF)

MVP: Will Chery

Olympiacos had a great start ( 8-2) and ( 10-4), but Promitheas reduce the gap ( 10-9). In the end of the first quarter Olympiacos was in the lead ( 24-15). Olympiacos was better than Promitheas overall and finally won the match ( 86-59).

Olympiacos B.C. ( 6th place)* and Promitheas Patras ( 4th place) will play in playoffs of Basketleague.

Rethymno had a attempt with 4 wins in last matches and finally avoid relegation. Aris was in the lead in the first minutes ( 10-2), but Rethymno answered with 8-0 in a row and the team from Crete equalized the match ( 10-10). Although Aris had a 5-0 in a row ( 16-11), but Rethymno led by 1 points in the end of the first quarter ( 16-17). Aris had an 7-0 in a row after Jones ( Rethymno) shot ( 25-21) and the hosts was in the lead by 2 points at halftime ( 37-35). Burtt was the best player of Rethymno in the third quarter and the reason why Rethymno was in the lead in the end of third quarter ( 53-62). Aris made a attempt with Bell, McGhee and Toliopoulos mainly, but Rethymno finally won the match ( 81-87).

Lavrio Aegean Cargo B.C.( 13th place) Relegation – Hfaistos Limnou ( 7th place): 96-76 

Quarters: 27-15, 57-34, 76-53, 96-76

MVP: Milan Milocevic

Lavrio made a great performance from the start with Bufford who scored 15 points and he took 15 rebounds. Milocevic was great and he was the main factor why Lavrio won. Lavrio won Hfaistos Limnou with 20 points ( 96-76).  Lavrio win wasn’t enough for the team who coached by Serelis to avoid relegation. The win of Kymis and Rethymno against Panathinaikos without match and Aris Thessalonikis respectively relegate Lavrio.

Hfaistos Limnou ( 7th place) : Points: Sean Evans  ( 15 points) , Rebound: Sean Evans  ( 6 rebounds) , Assist: Tyrone Brazzelton ( 7 assists)

Hfaistos Limnou ( 7th place) will play in playoffs of Basketleague and Lavrio Aegean Cargo B.C. ( 11th place) will relegate in A2. 

Peristeri Bikos Cola B,C, ( 3rd place)– Paok B.C. ( 5th place): 83-65 

Quarters: 20-16, 51-37, 74-56, 83-65

Venue: Peristeri Arena

Referees: Tsaroucha- Tzafleris- Tziopanos

MVP: Zois Karambelas and Steven Gray

Peristeri was great from the start and the team who coached by Argyris Pedoulakis led by 4 points in the end of the first quarter. Karambelas had a amazing performance and Peristeri kept the lead at halftime ( 51-37). Although Paok tried to equalize and win the match, Peristeri was better than Paok and finally win the match ( 83-65).

Kolossos Rodes H Hotels B.C, ( 14th place) Relagation – Aek Athens ( 2nd place)*: 69-106

Larentzakis was on fire from the start and he help Aek to take the lead ( 3-9). Mavroeidis and Malcolm Lee equalized the match ( 14-14). Aek with 7-0 in a row by Gabe York ( 14-24) was in the lead. Aek led by 7 points in the end of the first quarter ( 19-26) and 11 points ( 40-51) at halftime. Aek was decisive and Hunter and Theodore performance was very significant for the team who coached by Banchi. Finally, Aek led by 45 points ( 59-104) with Rogavopoulos shot and Aek won with 37 points ( 69-106).

Kolossos Rodes H Hotels B.C, ( 14th place)best players : Points: JayVaughn Pinkston ( 17 points) , Rebound: Malcolm Lee ( 7 rebounds) , Assist: Stevie Browning  ( 4 assists)

 Aek Athens ( 2nd place)* : Points: Giannoulis Larentzakis ( 19 points) , Rebound: Vince Hunter ( 9 rebounds) , Assist: Jordan Theodore ( 9 assists)
