Normantas to Stay With Wolves

Paul JamesHead coach Paul James (pictured) has announced that fan-favourite Kastytis ‘Special K’ Normantas will be back at Worcester next season.  Normantas (6′ 3″) is a 24 year-old combo guard who has thrilled the Wolves fans with his speed and athleticism.

“I’m very excited about Kastytis coming back.” PJ commented, “We only started to see his true potential towards the end of the season when he had some fantastic performances.”

Normantas played in all 25 of the Wolves’ games since Christmas.  He averaged 13 points per game over these games and 17.2 p.p.g. in the last 9 games.  He finished second in the BBL field goal percentage shooting stats with a 69.4% success rate.  He also finished fourth in the steals stats with an average of 2.3 steals per game.

A highlight for Normantas came when he won a place in the BBL Team of the Week for his performance at home against Guildford on 20th March with a perfect 8/8 shooting performance from the floor, as well as 12/15 from the charity stripe, and was one rebound off a double-double with 9 rebounds, as he amassed 31 points personal, as well as finding his team mates for 6 assists, and causing havoc at the defensive end with 3 steals.
