The Phoenix Suns announced they have reached an agreement with Monty Williams for the vacant head coaching position.
Per Shams Charania of The Athletic, Williams is expected to sign a five-year contract with the Suns. Williams was the head coach of the New Orleans Pelicans from 2010 to 2015. He has also worked as an assistant coach in the Portland Trail Blazers, the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Philadelphia 76ers.
