NEW YORK, May 3, 2019 – The National Basketball Association (NBA) announced today that The NBA Global Camp 2019 presented by Association Sportive de Monaco, a pre-Draft showcase focusing on top Draft-eligible prospects from outside the U.S., will take place Thursday, May 30 – Sunday, June 2 at the Stade Louis II in Monaco.

The camp will include five-on-five games, shooting drills, and strength and agility testing in front of representatives from NBA teams, all under the direction of NBA personnel, along with team interview sessions and medical evaluations.

The camp will also feature a series of scrimmages between prospects from NBA Academies – the league’s network of elite basketball training centers around the world for top male and female prospects from outside the U.S. – along with two select teams of top U-18 prospects.  Since October 2016, seven NBA Academies have been launched across Australia, China, India, Mexico and Senegal, and more than 10 NBA Academies graduates have committed to NCAA Division I schools.

Among the international players selected in the NBA Draft 2018 presented by State Farm, three participated in The NBA Global Camp 2018: Dzanan Musa (Bosnia and Herzegovina; Brooklyn Nets), Arnoldas Kulboka (Lithuania; rights currently held by the Charlotte Hornets) and Issuf Sanon (Ukraine; rights currently held by the Washington Wizards).  Additionally, NBA Global Camp 2018 participant Yuta Watanabe (Japan) played with the Memphis Grizzlies in the 2018-19 season under a two-way contract.

The roster of Draft-eligible prospects expected to attend The NBA Global Camp 2019 presented by Association Sportive de Monaco will be announced prior to the camp.

There were 108 international players from a record-tying 42 countries and territories on opening-night NBA rosters for the 2018-19 season, marking the fifth consecutive season that opening-night rosters featured at least 100 international players and that all 30 teams had at least one international player.
