Dinamo Sassari is the 2019 FIBA Europe Cup champion

Dinamo Sassari defeated Wurzburg (79-81) in the second leg of the Final on Wednesday (01/05) and became FIBA Europe Cup champion for the first time in its history.

Following their victory in the first leg, the Italians beat their opponents again and won the Final (170-163 on aggregate) to claim the title.

Wurzburg made a better start and took a double-digit lead in the middle of the third quarter, erasing the five-point deficit from Game 1 (57-46). But, Sassari came back and turned things around, outscoring their opponents 22-35 to win the game.

Dyshawn Pierre led the winners with 19 points and seven rebounds, while Jaime Smith and Rashawn Thomas added 15 and 14 points, respectively.

Skyler Bowlin had a game-high 20 points for the losing squad, with Cameron Wells posting 18 points and 10 assists.
