BBL ChampionshipPAWS London Capital Head Coach Milek Jivens said that he is ready for an 'interesting' weekend as his side welcome the Marshall MK Lions on Sunday: 'It will be another tough weekend for us' he said: 'However, I look at us being a bit more confident at home then away. At the moment all of our wins have been at home.' Although the Capital have already won more games than they did last season, they lost out by a score of 68-89 to the Newcastle Eagles last weekend, and Jivens described the performance as 'mediocre': 'We did not step up to the challenge and did not match the physical play of the Eagles' he added: 'We look to have a full squad for the next match, so it should be interesting.'

The Sheffield Sharks also go into a pivotal weekend of action, as they face the Everton Tigers tonight, followed by a confident Glasgow Rocks team on Sunday. Sharks' chief Atiba Lyons said he expects a tough test against both teams, identifying the Rocks' main threats as guard duo Rob Yanders and Jessie Sapp: 'I feel it will be a very tough test for us this weekend. Both Everton (Tigers) and the (Glasgow) Rocks are playing great basketball. We just have to focus on executing our offense and defensively contesting all their shooter' he said: 'The Rocks have been a very tough team to beat on their home court historically. With them returning such a large part of their core players, I don't expect anything different this time round. (Rob) Yanders and (Jessie) Sapp give the Rocks a real scoring punch and can spread the defence with their shooting ability. They have also made a few additions which should add some depth that they lacked last time we played them.'

Sterling Davis, the man in charge up in Glasgow meanwhile, paid tribute to the Sharks exceptional play in the first half of the 2009/10 season, which sees them currently top of the BBL Championship Table with 26 points thanks to a 13-3 record. The 32 year old American born play caller said the following: 'At the end of the day, they (Sheffield) are getting the job done. They are finding a way to get wins and that's why they are where they are. Just as with any other game, we have to have a good defensive game – that's always been the verdict when we have won.'
