Per Cleveland.com, there have been no talks between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Rick Pitino for the position of head coach.
Sources close to the team told cleveland.com that the team is not interested in hiring Pitino and the reports that Pitino talked with the owner of the Cavs, Dan Gilbert, are not true.
“We are, respectfully, not interested in him at all. No conversations with him by Dan (Gilbert) or anyone else,” a source said.
Pitino currently is the head coach of Panathinaikos and is now getting ready for Game 3 against Real Madrid on Tuesday (23/04).
