Ahead of tonight’s (19/04) Game 2 against Real Madrid, Panathinaikos head coach Rick Pitino addressed the situation regarding the “Greens” complaints about officiating in Game 1.
“I don’t talk about referees publicly. I tell my players: If they think they get fouled and they start talking to the ref instead of getting back in transition, you are not going to change the referee’s call. I try to not pay attention to the referees. They have a job to do and we have a job to do,” the Hall of Famer coach said.
Real Madrid leads the best-of-five series (1-0) and Panathinaikos wants to defeat the “Whites” and steal the home-court advantage.
