Baskonia overpowered CSKA Moscow on the road (68-78) and tied the series (1-1), “stealing” the home-court advantage from the Muscovites.

Baskonia led from start to finish and never looked back. The Basques earned a double-digit lead multiple times during the game (20-34, 52-66, 54-69) and endured the come-back of the Russians (31-34, 37-42, 47-53, 68-75) to seal the deal.

Four players scored in double figures for the winners, with Darrun Hilliard having a game-high 16 points. Cory Higgins (15 points), Will Clyburn (14 points) and Sergio Rodriguez (14 points) were the best players of the losing squad.

This was CSKA’s first defeat in the playoffs since 2008. Games 3 and 4 will be played in Vitoria on Wednesday (24/04) and Friday (26/04).
