The NBPA reportedly in support of Kristaps Porzingis

Per Ian Begley of the ESPN, the NBA Players Association supports Kristaps Porzingis over rape allegations made against him.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of the ESPN, both the Dallas Mavericks and the league office were aware of the case.

NBPA statement from executive director Michele Roberts on the Kristaps Porzingis rape allegations: “We have been aware of these allegations for some time, have evaluated the accuser’s claims and, based on what is presently before us, stand with Kristaps.”

On the February trade call to finalize the Dallas-New York deal, the Knicks informed the Mavericks of the pending rape allegation against Kristaps Porzingis, league sources tell ESPN. The league office had been previously made aware of the allegations.
