Marcus Paige scored five of his eight points in the final minutes and helped the hosts take the lead and never look back.

Billy Baron tried to respond for Zvezda, but Paige sealed the deal for Partizan from the free-throw line. Dejan Davidovac attempted to tie the game and force an overtime, but he missed the shot and the visitors were defeated.

Vanja Marinkovic led the winners with 18 points, as Jock Landale added 10 points and eight rebounds.

Stratos Perperoglou had a team-high 16 points for the losing squad, but he got ejected with two unsportsmanlike fouls. Maik Zirbes contributed 11 points and five boards for Zvezda.

Game 3 will take place next week, with Crvena Zvezda having the home-court advantage. The winner will qualify for the ABA League Finals.
