Italian Lega A awards its own Oscars

ImageThe 24th edition of the Oscars of the Italian Basketball has already winners. This event, organized by the Local Government of Quatro Castella, the Italian Basketbvall Federation (FIP), the Italian League (Lega) and FIBA, and sponsored by SuperBasket magazine, the Italian Olympic Committee (CONI), the Union of Sports Journalists (USSI) and Champion Italia, unveiled the names of the winners for this years, those who will be recognized in a gala to be held next February 22.

Among those awarded, Pietro Aradori, player of Angelico Biella, was selected as the best  transfer for the 2008-2009 season, Maria Chiara Franchini as Best Player in Womens Championship, Andrea Capobianco as Best Coach, Marcello Reatto as Best Referee, Aldo Albanesi awarded for lifelong achievements, Sandro Riminucci, Award to the Character, Sandro Crovetti awarded for his contribution to Italian basketball and Claudio Limardi as a Journalist. These awards were created in 1985 after thee great referee Pieetro Reverberi, recently inducted to the FIBA Hall of Fame.
