Per sportsmedia.com, French football club Olympique Lyonnais confirmed they are in talks with Tony Parker for a possible investment in ASVEL Villeurbanne.

“[Olympique Lyonnais] confirms that exclusive discussions have been initiated with [Asvel], for a minority stake in the Villeurbanne basketball club.
This period of exclusivity will extend until 30th June 2019. This acquisition of participation would allow the rapprochement of two emblematic clubs of the metropolis of Lyon,” the club said in a statement.
Last week, Parker stated that hopefully the football team and its president would be interested in investing on ASVEL: “I always had a good feeling with Jean-Michel Aulas. I always had a lot of respect for what he did with [Lyon].
Jean-Michel is a pioneer. We have always been very well aligned with our vision of business and sport,” the multiple time NBA champion mentioned.
ASVEL Villeurbanne will compete in the EuroLeague next season.
