In a hard-fought battle in Istanbul, Fenerbahce came back from a double-digit deficit in the third quarter and edged Barcelona (88-82).

The Catalans had control of the game in the beginning (16-23), yet the Turks came back and close the first half down by just one (37-38).

The “Blaugrana” stood tall, though, and extended their lead to 13 points in the middle of the third quarter (37-50) and remained in control until the final minutes of the game (66-76).

Since then, though, the hosts took over and closed the game on a 22-6 run to seal the deal.

Kostas Sloukas was the best player of the winners, with a game-high 22 points and 11 assists, while Bobby Dixon kept his team alive in the first half and finished the game with 19 points. Nicolo Melli added 13 points.

Five players scored in double figures for the losing squad, as Jaka Blazic had a team-high 15 points.

Fenerbahce improved to 22-4 and almost secured the top spot in the standings, whereas Barcelona dropped to 15-11.
