Golden State Warriors star, Kevin Durant, suffered a right ankle injury in the defending champions’ loss to the Phoenix Suns at home on Sunday (111-115).

The versatile forward bruised his right ankle and was forced to leave the game and not return.

Durant, who is averaging 27.4 points, 6.7 rebounds and 5.7 assists this season, will undergo medical tests that will determine for how long he will remain out of action.

Despite the loss, the Warriors are still on top of the NBA, one and a half games ahead of second-placed Denver Nuggets (45-21 to 43-22).
