Minor addition to Riders roster

Tack MinorJelson Homes DMU Leicester Riders have secured the services of American Tack Minor for the forthcoming season.

The 5'11" guard was widely regarded as one of the best basketball players in America at age 18 after averaging 37 points per game in his final season at high school, including scoring 72 of his team's 120 points in a double-overtime win.

He was recruited to leading American college Louisiana State University where he averaged 11 points per game in his sophomore season, before injury blighted his final years.

"To get a guy like Tack Minor who has played American college basketball at the highest level is something that we are excited about," admitted Paternostro. "His ability to push the basketball, get other people involved and score is something that I feel is a weapon we will be able to use in our league."

Since leaving university, the 25-year-old has played in the NBA's feeder league, the NBDL, and in Mexico's LNBP league.

"What I liked about Tack from the moment I saw him play was his ability to go north-to-south. Instead of going east-west, side to side, his ability to go up and down the court quickly and that can put pressure on the opposing defence.

"He is certainly the type of player that I like. He can also play the off-guard position, I don't think he is just a point guard and I think in our guard rotation that will be very valuable. I think he is the sort of player that will certainly be exciting for the fans of Leicester to watch."
