Russia secured its ticket to the Basketball World Cup

Russia rallied past Finland at home (91-76) and became the ninth European national team that officially qualifies to the World Cup.

The Russians came back from a 12-point deficit in the first quarter (16-28) and dominated their opponents, thanks to a 33-11 run in the fourth quarter. Consequently, they earned an easy victory and advanced to the World Cup.

Dmitry Kulagin led the winners with 22 points, four rebounds, and four assists in 28 minutes of action.

Russia joined already-qualified Spain, Turkey, Lithuania, Italy, Poland, France, Czech Republic, Greece and Germany.
