Chris Paul was tremendous and helped the Houston Rockets defeat the Golden State Warriors on the road on Saturday night (112-118).

Paul led the winners, who played without their leader James Harden (neck injury), with 23 points and 17 assists. Eric Gordon (25 points) and Kenneth Faried (20 points, 10 rebounds) stood out for Houston.

Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry had 29 and 25 points, respectively, for the losing squad, with Klay Thompson adding 20.

Golden State came back from a 20-point deficit in the second quarter (28-48) and took the lead (71-70, 76-74), but the Rockets stood tall, brought their advantage back to double digits (94-106) and sealed the deal.

The Rockets improved to 34-25, whereas the Warriors dropped to 42-17.
