Real Madrid leader, Rudy Fernandez, took to Twitter and expressed his opinion regarding the Copa Del Rey Final between his team and Barcelona.
“Today is the day to reflect on all the mistakes we made yesterday and to improve together proving that BASKETBALL is above all. As we always do, now is our time to work and get back on our feet. Congratulations to Barcelona for the title and to all the people that made this great event possible,” Fernandez said.
“Of course, I want to thank the MADRID fans for their constant support. Thank you, we will stand up stronger and continue to enjoy this great sport. #GoMadrid,” he added.
Real Madrid lost to Barcelona in overtime (93-94), but what stole the spotlight was the referees’ controversial decisions in the extra period.
The “Whites” saw the ACB and the Spanish Association of referees address the situation, via official statements, yet the club was not satisfied with their explanations.
