Russell Westbrook set two records

The Oklahoma City Thunder lost to the New Orleans Pelicans 122:131 on Thursday night. Thunder’s Russell Westbrook scored a triple-double with 44 points, 14 rebounds with 11 assists and extended his historic triple-double game streak to 11.

In addition, Westbrook (18,247) surpassed Gary Payton (18,207 points) as the career scoring leader in the Thunder/Sonics history.

“I didn’t know I was close, honestly. So that’s crazy, man. Just truly honored and blessed obviously to be in one place, organization. To be able to be the all-time leading scorer in a place is a pretty big accomplishment, I must say, so I’m just truly thankful and humbled,” Westbrook said, per The Kansas City Star.
