Estudiantes and Petar Popovic have agreed terms on a contract extension. Popovic will stay with the club from the Spanish capital for one more season.
Petar Popovic may have come as a replacement for Martin Rancik, but has proven to be one of the key parts of Estudiantes. The 30-year old Serbian center Popovic, standing 210cm tall averaged 9.5 points and 3 rebounds last season in the ACB.
He has also played for Red Star, Hemofarm, Benetton Treviso and DKV Joventut as well as the Serbia and Montenegro National Team in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens.
