CSKA Moscow edged Real Madrid

In a hard-fought battle between two EuroLeague powerhouses, CSKA Moscow defeated Real Madrid and climbed to the second place in the standings (82-78).

The Muscovites came back from a six-point deficit at halftime (34-40) and took the lead, with three minutes remaining (77-74).

Jaycee Carroll missed the three-pointer and Will Clyburn went to the free-throw line and sealed the deal for the Russians, who earned their fourth straight win.

Nando De Colo led the winners with 21 points, as Cory Higgins and Daniel Hackett added 15 and 14 points, respectively.

Anthony Randolph (20 points), Gustavo Ayon (11 points) and Facundo Campazzo (10 points) stood out for the losing squad.

Both teams now have identical records (17-5), but CSKA Moscow is second, thanks to its 2-0 record against the “Whites”.
