New coach for Hapoel Holon

Amir UziAfter the negotiations with their coach from last year, Danny Franco, failed, Hapoel Holon, the current Israeli Cup holders signed 36 years old, Amir Uzi, as their new coach.

Uzi was assistant coach for 2 years in Ironi Ramat-Gan, after 5 games in his third year as assistant coach in the team he was called to replace head coach Roby Belinko. Uzi took the Ramat-Gan with 0-5 record and succeeded to bring the team on the verge of the play-offs. Uzi wanted to stay in Ramat-Gan but the team preferred to sign Daniel Gutt.

Before Ramat-Gan. Usi coached mainly in the third division and in youth teams. Among others he coached Ramat-Efal. Hapoel Givatiim, Hapoel Lod and Maccabi Rehovot.

After the nomination Uzi said: "No doubt it's a big challenge for me. I am very happy and excited from this challenge and from the faith of Holon managers in me. We will have happy and young team which will make the great fans enjoy basketball".
