Former Lithuanian national team member Saulius Stombergas returned from retirement after two years to sign one-year deal with Unics Kazan in Russia. 35-year-old small forward played for Unics before deciding to finish pro career.
Valdemaras Chomicius, the new coach Unics, who is also Lithuanian found a way to convince Saulius Stombergas to make a return. Stombergas has some major titles in his trophy case among them is Euroleague title in 1999 with Zalgiris and Eurobasket 2003 gold medals with Lithuanian national team.
