Israeli club Ironi Ramat-Gan signed American point guard Torey Thomas from Hanzevast Groningen, Holland. 24-year-old 1.80m tall Thomas was one of the key players of his team with 13.7 points, 5.7 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game in the Dutch League.
In 2007 Thomas graduated from Holy Cross college and started his pro career in Europe. Torey Thomas has previously played in Kepez (Turkey), Akropol (Sweden) and Brest (France). During his spell in Sweden Thomas was named player of the year as he averaged 25.6 points, 7.6 rebounds, 6.6 assists and 3.1 steals per game. Though his team didn't have a good season and finished with 9-24 record.
